Bandung yang kini menyandang predikat sebagai kota kreatif ke 11 yang diakui oleh pemerintah United Kingdom, tak henti-hentinya berkarya menciptakan sesuatu yang kreatif, inovatif dan fresh.
Siang ini, saya diajak ke sebuah tempat yang cukup menarik. Letaknya cukup strategis, di depan taman pramuka kota Bandung, tepatnya di sebelah rumah cantik citra.
Dari depan sih tampak seperti rumah biasa hampir tidak terlihat ada plang ataupun billboard. Saat saya melangkah masuk ternyata rumah mungil tersebut adalah workshop pembuatan lukisan kaca atau istilah kerenya glass painting milik ibu helena. Cukup menarik, apapun yang terbuat dari gelas mulai gelas, piring, aquarium, vas, botol hingga bohlam lampu disulap menjadi sebuah karya seni yang bernilai.
Di sebelahnya ada workshop keramik milik ibu Elin, ternyata mereka adalah kakak beradik pencinta craft.
Bentuk maupun design keramik dapat dipesan oleh costumer masing-masing, mereka tidak membatasi kreativitas pemesan dengan membuat katalog. Disana terdapat cafe dan ruang galeri kecil yang unik dan juga ruang pembakaran keramik.
Bandung, which now holds the title as a Creative City who are recognized by the government of United Kingdom, worked unceasingly to create something creative, innovative and fresh.
This afternoon, I was invited to a place that was quite interesting. A strategic location, in front of Scouts Garden city of Bandung, exactly next door to beautiful images. From the front still looks like a regular house there is almost no visible signpost or billboard.
